Moral education is one of the sections of all educational programs. Both in kindergartens and schools they study in detail the country in which you live and your city. Of particular importance is the education of patriotic feelings: love for the native land, Motherland. Everyone should know the history and sights of their region. It is also interesting to know about peoples of your city, about culture, about folk costumes. Telling children using illustrations is boring; it is much more interesting when the information is supported by exhibits that you can pick up and examine in more detail. And when the office is decorated in a variety of ways, this is a plus for the teacher. Someone will think that this is difficult, because not everyone has sewing machines, but I assure you, you can make a wonderful you can wear a suit without a machine, the main thing is to have a great desire and patience and, of course, creative imagination (how are we without him). I offer detailed execution techniques dolls in a festive Russian folk costume made of simple, scrap materials without using a sewing machine.

Materials used:

Textile: red satin, white nylon or any white material

Decorative braid, jacquard,

Threads, needle,

Wire,

Meter, pencil, scissors, glue gun.

In kindergarten I took doll, washed it, combed it - and this is what I got gorgeous:

Then she began to implement her plan. Since I don’t have a sewing machine, I sewed everything by hand. If something is wrong, don't judge harshly.

Our folk costume will consist of a white undershirt with trim, shorts, a red outer dress (sundress) and kokoshnik.

I took the idea for the blouse pattern Houses: I have two girls and, naturally, they have dolls, took one of the blouses and embroidered it (then sewed it back while my girls didn’t see it, otherwise there would have been a tragedy on a global scale, made a paper pattern to fit mine dolls, then transferred it to the material. The result is this detail.

To prevent the pattern from moving, we secure it with needles and trace it.

We transfer the pattern to the right, then turn it over and trace the left side. Cut out the part. The clasp will be at the back. Trying it on doll. I think it turned out well. The piece is one piece, only the side seams are sewn, but we will sew it later, when we make the sleeves.

To decorate the collar, I used red braid (it’s good that now there are no problems with the choice of this material, I bought what I liked) I simply sewed it in a circle, and it turned out to be a stand-up collar.

Just like on a shirt, we sew braid onto the sleeves, having first taken measurements from the arm dolls:

I describe my actions in detail, maybe someone will find this material useful. Let's go further: we sew the sleeves into the shirt and sew it together (shirt) and sleeves, can be tried on doll. I didn’t fasten the shirt, I just wrapped it up and that’s it, the sundress wouldn’t let her unfasten. The result is such beauty...

Let's move on to sewing the sundress itself. Measuring height dolls and cut off a rectangle taking into account future folds on the sundress.

We choose the color scheme of the decorations. I chose jacquard and decorative ribbons because for me it is easier because they can be glued inconspicuously with hot glue. We put strings and ribbons on the material and get to work. At the beginning, I placed the ribbons on glue (precisely, but I didn’t take a photo so that they wouldn’t move on the material), then I sewed them on.

We sew the part, but not completely, leaving room for the future fastener.

We adjust the length at the top, since the bottom is already finished. We make the necessary assemblies according to the figure. We have a sundress, so we attach a belt and straps to the top of the skirt, so you can try it on. For the belt and straps I used the same braid as on the sundress itself. We sew the fastener after trying on the sundress. I used a button as a fastener, you can sew on Velcro, it might even turn out better (I think so). This is the sundress I got.

Smoothly, we reached the last product - the kokoshnik.

Here you need imagination, we take wire as a basis, but not very thick, so that the kokoshnik is flexible. We measure the head dolls and twist this frame.

In order for the kokoshnik to keep its shape, you need to cover it with something durable. Satin is a material that wrinkles easily, so I didn’t want to stick it to cardboard. A colleague suggested the idea to me, I share it with you: every housewife probably has gelatin at home, dilute it and soak the material in it (she took sheet gelatin, it’s easier to use, dissolved two plates in a small amount of water, then dried on a flat surface, it turns out just fine. Firstly , the material became almost like cardboard, secondly, it stopped unraveling at the edges, and, thirdly, it cut out just wonderfully!

When the material is ready, we move on to the next phase of our work: using hot glue we fix our frame to the material.

On the reverse side we do everything exactly the same, but we cut out a little more of our kokoshnik to make it easier and more inconspicuous to stick the decor in a circle.

For decoration I used sequin braid. When decorating, we give free rein to our imagination and get something like this beauty:

Our kokoshnik is ready, you can dress up the beauty.

I forgot about the main thing, underwear is being done Just: we make a pattern according to doll, cut out and sew along the sides and the middle (unfortunately, I didn’t take a photo, you can make it from a white baby sock, it’s even easier, only the middle is sewn, I think you can figure it out yourself.

Main point: We dress up our beauty and get a lot of pleasure from the work done! I think it turned out great, no worse dolls, bought in a store.

I wish you all success and creative ideas in implementing your projects!

Barbie doll is undoubtedly the most popular doll in the world. Children from every corner of the Earth want to have this popular and beloved doll. But the doll’s wardrobe is not inferior to its beauty, fashionable fluffy dresses, all possible skirts, trousers and other outfits. Every girl wants her doll to have the most beautiful dresses and suits. Stores are bursting with all kinds of wardrobes for a Barbie doll, sometimes very expensive ones. But how can you not leave your favorite doll without beautiful outfits? The solution is very simple; with the help of scrap materials, basic sewing skills and free time, you can sew an original and favorite costume for a doll yourself. There are many options from which you can sew clothes for a Barbie doll, for example, you can sew from basic things that are in every home: socks, jeans, fabric, old clothes and many other materials.

In today's Master Class we will tell and show you how to sew a summer sundress for a Barbie doll with your own hands using scrap materials and a sewing machine.
For a summer sundress for a Barbie doll you will need the following materials:

  • Denim, old jeans will also work.
  • A small piece of chintz fabric, approximately 40 by 40 centimeters.
  • Scissors.
  • Needle and thread.
  • Chalk, in order to trace patterns, since on some dark types of fabric the lines drawn with a pencil are not visible.
  • Patterns or pattern paper.
  • Sewing machine.

Let's start making a summer sundress for a Barbie doll.
First you need to make patterns. The presented patterns are made for a standard Barbie doll and clothes sewn using them may be too large for dolls from the Bratz and Monster High collections. Therefore, for dolls from these collections and dolls of similar body types, patterns need to be made separately. There is nothing complicated about this and on the Internet you will find many sources on how to easily and simply make a pattern.
For a summer sundress we will need the following patterns: the back of the bodice with darts - 2 pieces, the front part of the bodice also with darts - 2 pieces, the hem of the sundress - we have a sun skirt, a circle with a diameter of 25 cm - 1 piece, two patterns for the collar, and also with If desired, a sundress can be turned into a dress by sewing sleeves to it; patterns are also presented.

Having figured out the number and purpose of the patterns, you can start cutting them out.
First of all, we cut out the hem of the sundress and the collar, only these two parts will be sewn from denim, for this we fit the patterns and trace them with chalk. When cutting, make seam allowances of about 5 mm.

Then we trace and cut out the sleeves and the front and back parts of the bodice, as well as the sleeves. And be sure not to forget about allowances, otherwise the finished product will be small.

All parts are ready, let's start sewing. We will do this on a sewing machine; no special professional sewing skills are required on a sewing machine, but if you don’t have one, you can just use a needle and thread.

First, we sew the bodice of the sundress, the front parts and the back separately, be sure to sew the darts, so the product will seem more elegant.

After this, we sew these two parts together.

The next step is to sew the collar at the top of the sundress. To do this, we first sew each part of the collar around the perimeter with a regular stitch, and then sew it to the bodice, it should turn out as shown in the photo.

Appearing in 2010, unusual Monster High dolls competed with such familiar dolls as Barbie.

These characters were created based on popular horror films and monster stories. Monster High students are the children of such monsters as Dracula, Medusa Gorgon, mummy, werewolf, sea monster, yeti, ghost, Frankenstein's monster and so on.

Despite their origin and specific appearance, the characters of Monster High are kind, handsome and fashionable guys. The dolls' bodies are articulated and have 11 points of articulation, which gives the dolls greater mobility. Each doll in this series is a unique character with its own skin color, mold, unique style and legend.

And the Samoshveyk website offers to replenish the wardrobe of the Gulia Yelps doll (daughter of a zombie) and sew it for her.

In order to sew such a sundress for a doll, you will need:

  • cotton fabric
  • needle
  • thread
  • braid or lace
  • as well as a small piece of Velcro.

Using the pattern, we cut out the details of the top (bodice) of the future sundress. For the skirt, cut out two rectangles measuring 6 x 24 cm and 7 x 14 cm. Leave seam allowances of approximately 5 mm.

Sundress bodice

We sew the darts together and finish the edges of the parts with an overcast stitch to prevent the fabric from fraying. We sew the parts together and bend the side edges.

We hem the top of the sundress bodice.

Sundress skirt

Ours consists of two rectangles that are assembled along the top edge. We fold one long edge of a rectangle measuring 6 x 24 cm, sew on braid or lace. This will be the bottom of the skirt. We process the edges with an overcast stitch.

Gather the top edge of the skirt and sew it to a rectangle measuring 7 x 14 cm.

Along the upper cut of the rectangle 7 x 14 cm we lay small folds or make an assembly. We sew the cut.

Sew the bodice to the top edge of the sundress skirt.

The sundress for the doll is almost ready. But we still need to come up with a clasp. To do this, we cut off the Velcro tape, or, in a simpler way, Velcro and sew it to the bodice, like this (on one side of the fastener we sew the tape on the front side, on the other - on the wrong side):

If you don't have Velcro, don't worry! Sew buttons and loops.

As a result, we got a wonderful sundress for the Monster High doll. Which one? Share your ideas with us!

In order to sew a shirt for Paola Reina dolls, we need a pattern. I will describe it below, but now let’s imagine a little about why it might be useful to us.

First of all, this shirt was intended as an underdress under a sundress from the “Christmas Carols” outfit, but it doesn’t have to be limited to that :)

For example, if you cut it out of beautiful colored cotton, you will get a wonderful summer dress. Or you can sew it like a tunic, knit an openwork belt and add leggings or shorts. Or cut it out of a cozy material and get a homemade nightgown, but guess what, dolls sleep too 😛

You can also sew such a shirt from brown material, and sew or knit an openwork white apron on top, choose white braid and run it along the neckline and cuffs. And voila, we have a Soviet-era schoolgirl 😉

Inspired? Let's sew!

This is ours:

You can also download it in PDF format to print it on a printer at the desired scale; for this, when printing, select the scale 100% or “Real size”:

We cut out 1 part of the front from the fabric, 2 parts of the back and sleeves, and the facing of the neck. The split thread runs along the line of the middle of the front, back, sleeves and facing. Don't forget about seam allowances. I made 0.6 - 0.7 cm, along the bottom of the sleeve - 1 cm, and there is no need for an allowance along the bottom edge of the facing.

We sew a zigzag stitch on the side sections of the front, back and bottom edges of the facing:

Before sewing on the braid, it is advisable to check it for paint fastness, since if it suddenly fades, it will ruin your finished product. Baste and sew the braid to the sleeves. Sew the side sections and the bottom edge of the sleeve, I do this with one line:

Stitch and overcast the shoulder seams, folding the seam allowances to the back:

Sew a line from mark to mark along the sleeve hem, gather, but do not tie any knots so that you can adjust the gathering when sewing the sleeve into the armhole:

Sew the sleeves into the armholes and overcast this section. Fold the seam allowances towards the sleeve:

If you used a washable or disappearing marker to apply the pattern to the fabric, then you cannot smooth the seams at this stage; I simply straighten them with my fingers. And if you used a pencil, then feel free to iron the seams. This is what my shirt looks like at this stage:

Let's take care of the neckline :) Place the facing on the neckline (right sides facing each other) and sew it along the placket line:

Now we bend the bar and combine the control marks on the facing and the neckline:

We sew along the neckline and carefully cut off the excess seam allowances, making notches in the corners:

Turn it inside out:

We sew the sleeves and side seams with one line, turn the allowances in different directions, and overcast the bottom edge of the shirt:

Let's start with the sleeves - fold the seam allowance to the wrong side, insert a thin elastic band and carefully lay a line or sew it by hand, leaving a small hole:

We put it on the doll's handle, tighten the elastic, tie a knot and cut off the excess elastic, the tails of the elastic should hide in the remaining hole:

Sew the braid to the bottom edge of the shirt/dress:

We sew a line along the lines of the straps and neckline:

All that remains is to sew on small buttons for the fastener; for this I use monofilament:

View from the back:

All that remains is to wash off the marker and iron the seams thoroughly. In order to make it more convenient to iron doll things, I made the following devices, inside each there is a wooden slatted and padding polyester (except for the smallest one), covered with cotton fabric on top.

Now we've done it, it's time to try on our shirt. If the result does not suit you very much, then be sure to try again, and again. When a joint project took place in our VKontakte group, everyone did a great job, even those who had never sewed before. Therefore, I believe that everything will work out for you too!

You can complement the look with openwork tights, watch the master class and knit boots according to the description.

A good project for a beginning seamstress as this sundress only has one seam and is good practice for practicing one-stitch gathers. In addition, hand-sewn clothes for dolls are not only beautiful, but also very practical.

Materials for a doll sundress

Lottie doll's sundress is made of a small piece of fairly thick cotton fabric.

Used new scarves and other lighter cotton fabrics are also suitable for sundresses. Quilted materials can be used to create small dolls and dollhouses. Quilted fabrics include cotton or heavier textured fabrics.

In addition to the fabric, you will need needles and thread, ribbon for the belt, sharp fabric scissors, interlining so that the seams are not visible, and a thin, almost invisible elastic thread. For a dollhouse and dolls such as Lottie, a thread with a thickness of 7 mm is suitable. It can be divided into several threads and folded together, then they will not break.

You can also find suitable thread in specialized fabric or yarn stores. Clothes for large dolls can be sewn with stretchable sewing threads or using cord.

Depending on the type of fabric, you may also want to use special fabric glue or wrap the fabric to prevent the fabric from fraying at the edges. Must read: Moschino and fashionable Barbie spring-summer 2015.

This sundress can be sewn without a machine. Using a running stitch, you need to assemble the details of the sundress, then line the seams, sew on the ribbons and hem the bottom of the product with a herringbone pattern.

The Lottie doll is the perfect model for a beginner.

We cut out fabric for the doll's future sundress

The cut piece of fabric should easily wrap the doll's body 2.5 times.

For a sundress, as in the picture, you will need a rectangle of fabric approximately 2.5 cm larger than the approximate length of the future sundress. At the same time, it should be wide enough to wrap 2.5 times around the doll’s body. If the doll has a fairly large head compared to the body, then you should select the size of the fabric based on the head or take into account the proportions of the doll’s body. So, if the doll has a disproportionately large body or hips, then you will need more fabric.

Don't skimp on fabric width. If you cut out the rectangle correctly, the sundress skirt will hang perfectly in the shape of a bell.

Make sure you cut the piece of fabric correctly so that no parts stick out when you assemble the piece.

Mark the sundress along the line for assembly

Draw the desired line from the back of the fabric using a ruler and a pencil or tailor's chalk.

To begin, mark a thin line with a pencil on the back of the fabric, about 1/2 inch from the top edge. The line should be laid on the fabric along the entire length of the rectangle. Mark 4 lines below the first one.

Since this doll is very small, it is enough to lay the lines at a distance of 1 mm from each other. Measure the distance from the top of your doll's sundress by measuring the width of the lines and dividing this distance by 4.

This way you will determine how much you should retreat from the top line of the product.

Fold over the hem of the sundress

The hem of the sundress can be made with frills; just iron it and sew a contrasting ribbon to the bottom of your doll’s sundress.

The easiest way to make the hem of a doll's sundress complete is to hem interlining or shirt tape to the bottom of the hem. Fold the bottom of the fabric where you want the bottom edge of your doll's sundress to be (guide the top edge of the fabric). Iron the bottom, then insert interlining between the ironed part and iron.

If you're not sure how long your doll's sundress should be, set the bottom aside for later, once you've fully assembled the piece. You can use interlining for the top edge, and if you want, you can thicken the fabric a little, but keep in mind that this can only be done for small dolls. Assemble the top edge as shown below.

If you want, you can sew the hem using a blind stitch.

Sew a sundress

Holding the fabric between the fingers of one hand, we stretch it a little, after which we begin to sew it together with a running stitch.

To assemble the top edge of the sundress, we sew it with a running stitch along the marked lines. Try to make short stitches of 3 mm in length. Alternate stitches so that the stitches in the top row are above the stitches in the second row, and so on. This will create the illusion of the fabric being gathered into a small fold. In addition, the product will look neat.

Do not stretch the fabric too much, just hold them with the fingers of one hand while stitching. In this case, your fabric should be located in the same plane until you collect the top edge of the product.

Hemming the top edge of the doll's sundress

The top edge of the doll's sundress is turned inside out and then swept away. We recommend reading:

Once you have finished stitching along the marked lines, you will need to finish the top edge of your doll's sundress. To do this, turn back the top edge by about 2 mm, and then sew the trimmed edge to the edge of the product from the wrong side, as shown in the picture. To do this, it is enough to use a blind stitch. The technique is similar to the stitch for hemming items by hand.

Adjusting the parts of the doll's sundress before assembly

Elastic threads are tied at one edge and then carefully pulled out through the top of the doll's sundress

When you have finished the top edge of your doll's sundress, it's time to assemble the product using elastic threads.

To do this, fix the elastic threads on one side of your product. Gently pull the threads at the other end and pull them through the top of your sundress. Use your fingers to straighten out the folds on the opposite side of the fabric, or push them down toward the center of the fabric if you have small stitches.

If necessary, pull the ends of the elastic thread and then center the folds.

Your goal: to achieve uniform folds, as shown in the photo. Make sure that there are no folds on the front sides, because from the sides you will be sewing the front of the sundress to the back.

Checking how the doll will sit in front of the sundress

Before sewing the front of the sundress to the back, we look at how the pins will look on the sundress.

Before sewing the front to the back, look at how the sundress will generally sit on the doll. If the folds are too tight on the front of the doll, distribute the elastic threads evenly. If the sundress has too little wrinkle, tighten the elastic threads.

Also check that the gather is symmetrical to the doll's head and hips after both parts of the sundress are sewn.

If the gather is too tight, loosen it around the head and hips to keep it looking neat.

The tightness of the gather is determined by the number of basting stitches you make, as well as the weight of the fabric.

Making the back seam of a doll's sundress

To assemble a sundress, just use a needle to sew a purl seam at the back of the sundress.

If the sundress suits your doll in size and proportions, it’s time to sew the back seam. Connect the top and bottom edges of the sundress. Make sure that the edges of the fabric are joined correctly.

Use a fine needle (for small stitches) to sew a straight seam, leaving about 3-6 mm from the edges of the fabric.

Trim the remaining edges of the fabric using zigzag scissors (if you have them) and hem them or glue them with fabric glue.

How to make a summer sundress for dolls (video)

To make it easier for you, mark with a simple pencil the line where you want to lay the seam. Place the seam along the marked line.

Sew straps and a bow to the doll's sundress

To give the sundress a finished look, sew straps and a bow from contrasting ribbon onto it.

This way the doll sundress will have a finished look. You can also make a sundress without a lyamou and decorate it with a bow or brooch.

For dolls like Lottie, the bow on the sundress can be secured with one stitch from the inside out. The straps for a sundress can be made from a contrasting colored silk ribbon 6 mm wide, and then sew them on the wrong side of the sundress.

To do this you only need to make a few stitches. First, remove the sundress from the doll. Place stitches only at the back first.

Then repeat the same for the front straps. Perform all operations by turning the sundress inside out. When finished, turn it inside out and put the sundress on the doll.

If your doll has fixed arms, then instead of straps you can come up with something like a tie.

For example, like a strap on a doll's swimsuit. You will pass the ribbon over your head and sew it to the front of the sundress. This way, you will no longer need to think about how to thread the straps of a doll's sundress.

To make a bow, you can also take a regular lace that matches the straps and, tying an impromptu bow from it, sew it on the front. Use fabric glue and attach it with a couple of stitches.
