My dear Bees, I want to offer you a master class on making a very beautiful gift “Basket with Roses”

To do this you will need the following: a set of different colored ribbons

10 meters of main tape (in my case it’s blue). I love it when the main ribbon is dark colored ribbon.

A piece of soap (preferably not old, otherwise it will crumble),
Needles with plastic heads,
You can use ready-made flowers, but I make them myself.

MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY

We take the soap, insert the needles into the soap in the form of an oval, so that they hold tightly.

We do the same on the reverse (bottom) side. Only the oval should be a little smaller in size. The number of needles is the same on both the top and bottom - 16 pieces each.

Then we measure 5 meters of tape, cut it and attach it with a needle to the soap from the top side.

We begin to braid the soap from top to bottom in this way, it is desirable that the edge of the ribbon overlaps the previous turn.

We begin to braid the upper needles

There should be three rows on top; when these rows are completed, cut the ribbon and secure it with a needle. We use the rest of the tape for the bottom side, we braid the needles in the same way, only we make two rows. When you have completed this, press the needles, i.e. stick them deeper.

Now let's start making flowers.
The manufacturing technology is very simple. Once upon a time in childhood, we made Christmas tree garlands from colored paper this way.

Take a piece of ribbon 25 cm, fold it in half, bend one side, you get a triangle on top.

Then we alternately bend one side under the other, i.e. the weaving goes from below, we hold the top with our finger, thus making 12-15 bends. Then we release the upper part and hold the lower part.

Now we take one end of the ribbon and pull it down, as if squeezing the product.

To secure it, you can circle one end of the tape around the other a couple of times, thread a needle, and trim the ends.

Insert the flower into the soap.

This way we fill the entire basket with flowers.

Now we make leaves. We cut a 3cm piece of green ribbon obliquely and secure it into the soap with a needle.

For those who master the art of weaving macrame, I can suggest weaving a handle for this beauty. If you can't, make a handle out of something else or leave it without a handle. This is what I ended up with!

I want to give some advice.

1. Buy satin ribbons, then the color of the soap will not show through.
2. It is desirable that the shape of the soap is oval.
3.Select needles to match the color of the ribbon, this is especially important for flowers.

It is customary to decorate interiors and clothing with crafts made from ribbons. Manufacturing technology has been improving for many centuries. Advantages and disadvantages of making flowers from ribbons with your own hands

There are many more benefits. Firstly, creating ribbon flowers helps preserve wildlife. The crafts look like real ones - this is the main plus. Making flowers from ribbons is a simple and low-cost way to decorate your interior. They will not fade and will last as long as necessary. Ribbon flowers will be an excellent gift for March Eighth or Valentine's Day. The products are designed in any colors - this is another advantage over living plants. Both adult women and little girls will be interested in experimenting with the shape of flowers and the appearance of the finished composition. Beginners need to spend a lot of time to make a bouquet of a large number of flowers. The lack of its own smell is also a disadvantage. Solid ribbon rose

You can use a narrow one and a half centimeter ribbon, then the product will turn out to be small in height and with a dense texture, with a lot of bends. But the best option involves using a relatively wide 4-centimeter tape. First, the protruding threads are torn off from it, and one of the edges is melted with a lighter. The main part of the work begins on this side. The end is folded in half, creating a diagonal fold. The corner is bent downwards, and the process of twisting the core of the rose begins around it. When the diagonal bend is practically no longer visible, you need to turn the ribbon upside down. The folded part is pasted over, after which the strip is turned over again. Then you need to continue to “collect” the flower, repeating these steps after each full revolution. Towards the end of the ribbon, the lower part of the flower begins to form. The tail is pasted over and curled. The product is fastened with thread.

You should not put too much tension, otherwise the craft will not be as fluffy.

The simplest manufacturing method involves the use of scissors, a thread needle, nylon thread, and nylon fabric. The rosette is folded starting from the core. The central part is formed by bending one of the ends of the tape and wrapping it with the opposite, free edge. The resulting layers are pierced with a needle. The remaining free segment is wrapped around the center. With each turn, three folds are made outward. Each of them will form a separate petal. To fix the product, the flower must be treated with thread. There is also a more complex version, for which you will additionally need a sponge, acrylic paints, padding polyester, oval or round shapes, and several pieces of wire. The pieces of wire will be the bases of the individual petals. The molds are wrapped, and fragments of nylon fabric are stretched on top. They are attached with thread. The center is made of colored padding polyester. All that remains is to attach the stem.

Kanzashi (kanzashi) is a type of Japanese jewelry, mainly for women, as well as the name of the technology for making it. Finished products usually consist of flowers and leaves, but other options associated with plants are also found. In total, there are about 5-10 main subtypes of this technique, including tsumami-kanzashi, birakan, mimikaki kanzashi. Not all of them look like a typical modern kanzashi. This method involves using a fire source to give the petals and leaves a characteristic shape. Satin is used as a material for products, and, less often, fabrics with similar parameters are used. In the process of work, you will need such devices as scissors, a glue gun, elastic bands, hairpins, stamens, pins, tweezers. Temperature effects are necessary for manipulating the edges of the molds, as well as for joining them. Small length fragments, most often rectangles, are cut out of satin material. Their corners are connected or trimmed (smooth or rounded).

Simple cinquefoil flower

Since the product will consist only of a cup with petals, it is better to make several pieces. Squares 5x5 or 6x6 cm are cut out of satin material. They are folded diagonally. Then, by bending the corners, a square is made from the triangle. Then it is folded into a triangle again, and a strip 2-3 mm wide is cut from the side with the largest number of free edges. The processed side is grabbed with tweezers, and the workpiece is brought to the candle. The cut edge is melted. Immediately after this it needs to be flattened. You need to wait about ten seconds and begin to give the mold a convex appearance. Then the base is made: an elastic band is installed on the round blank. You need to make cuts and secure it with glue and another circle. Petals are attached to the flat part of the structure, also using glue.

It is better to make flowers in different colors:

• orange;
• pink;
• yellow;
• blue;
• red

Bell

In addition to the main component - the satin ribbon, you will need:

• candle;
• wire;
• stamens;
• sewing equipment;
• suitable glue;
• ruler;
• glass;
• burner.

A 2.5 cm wide ribbon is cut into fragments of 5 cm each. Two pieces are applied to each other with the wrong side. Next they are placed on the glass. Use a ruler to highlight a diagonal line. All fragments are cut with a hot knife. After this, they are soldered along the cut line. The short edges are first stitched separately with thread and then joined together. After this, the front side of the sharp part of the connected petals is melted with a candle. Deformation due to temperature effects should not be allowed. Next, the end is quickly twisted so that it bends outward. It is necessary to make five such elements to create one flower. Then you need to work with the stamens: they are bent in half, covered with wire and twisted. The tops of the stamens are smeared with glue and five petals are attached to them.

Aster

You will need: thread and needle, several beads, lighter, scissors, green mesh, satin ribbon, thick cardboard, glue gun. It is not necessary to choose natural tones to create a flower; any bright shades will do. First of all, the tape is cut into a large number of segments: thirty or more. Its width should be 2.5-3 cm, the length of the fragments should be 6-7 cm. Each piece is folded in half - into a narrow strip. Then a small fragment is cut off from one end with scissors. This should be done at an angle of 45°. The cut edge is melted with a lighter and glued together. Two opposite corners are folded inward and melted by fire. And so 30 petals. Then a small circle is cut out of cardboard. It is covered with satin material. Two rows of petals are glued to this base. Some add variety and create another row in the middle, in a different color. The finished composition is decorated with beads.

Peony

You will need: a base for a brooch, a ribbon, a large bead, a needle, beaded or monofilament, scissors, tweezers, a candle, matches. Circles of different sizes are cut out of the tape. The splendor of the final product depends on their quantity. All elements are melted by candle fire. It is necessary to achieve a wavy outline along the entire perimeter of the future petal. After this, they form a bottom. To do this, make a small cut so that approximately 1/5 of the circle is a straight line. The next step is to sew several petals into groups. The circles are combined in sequence from largest to smallest. Next, the central part of the flower is created using a thread: a large bead is attached to the base under the brooch. After this, petals are attached to the product. Now it can be used as a brooch or hairpin, or made into an elastic band.

Hibiscus

You will need:

1. Scissors;
2. Candle;
3. Super glue;
4. Template with side 6 cm;
5. Thin floral wire and two satin ribbons of different colors - one will imitate a flower (it is better to choose pink), and the other a stem.

You will also need stamens to match the color of the pink ribbon. First of all, cut out a 6-centimeter rectangle from green tape. On one side, it needs to be given the appearance of a leaf: two corners are cut off with scissors. One such element is enough. You need to make five petals from the pink one. Using a template, the required number of pieces is measured and cut. Molds resembling a drop are cut out of the fragments. One of the edges is rounded. It is difficult to cut out the ideal shape, so you need to put all the pieces together or use another template in the form of the desired petal. Next, the flat side of the leaf is melted. The petals are treated with fire along the entire perimeter, the rounded part is then stretched by hand. Then all the fragments are put together and fastened. The stem is decorated with green ribbon. A leaf of the same color is attached to it - the product is ready.

Flower made from wave braid and zigzag braid

Very original products are created from wavy braid. You will need a needle and thread, scissors, one wave braid 50 cm long or two 30 cm long (preferable). First of all, the two sections are intertwined, like curls in a braid. This blank is sewn on a machine. Then a bud is made: the braid is rolled up and secured with glue in several places, preferably once for each turn. The end is tucked in and also fixed with glue. In this form, the product will imitate a peony, and if you turn out the petals, it will resemble a rose. A very original non-standard product will be made from zigzag braid. A segment with 20 bends is required. The ends of the fragment are sewn together. For this, an allowance is left in advance. Then, using a thread, you need to sew 10 elements (one at a time). Then this ring is assembled into a compact circle and secured. Then it is made flat, and as a result all the petals will be directed clockwise or counterclockwise.

You will need a fastener (elastic band, hoop or hairpin), thread to match the color of the lace, a fleece circle of the same color, 2 meters of lace. The first step is to prepare the material and fastening. Then the lace is sewn along a smooth, non-decorative edge with a needle and double thread. A “forward needle” stitch is used. The thread stretches and the lace fabric tightens. The folds are distributed evenly along the entire length of the tape. There is no need to separate the needle and thread. They are attached to the end of the lace for a while. Next, you will need a second needle and thread: it is sewn to the fleece circle in a spiral. It is necessary to ensure that the lace “looks” face up. The core of the flower is decorated to your taste: with buttons or beads. From the remaining lace fabric you can make a mini-bud and sew it to the central part of the product. The first thread is now secured and cut - the job is complete. It is worth special mentioning the appearance of the products. Flowers made from a thick lace ribbon with decorations with ornamental stones look very original.

Many remember them from childhood: birthdays, New Year and the Feast of St. Nicholas were rarely without these decorations. They are easy to do. 9 strips 1.5 cm wide are drawn on a sheet of paper. They are cut out and then reduced to the required size. You need 3 pieces with a length of 25 cm and the same number of 22 cm, two of 19 cm and one strip 9 cm long. The shortest one is bent into a ring and fixed with a stapler. All the rest are twisted in a figure eight and also secured. The fragments are stacked on top of each other. There will be small “eights” inside the bud. A ring is placed in the very center. Pieces of double-sided tape can be used both before starting to create a bud to create an adhesive surface on the fragments, and after, for reliable fastening. The paper itself can be different: simply colored or decorative with various stripes.

To create such a product yourself, you will need to use:

• paper;
• scissors;
• ruler;
• pencil;
• stapler;
• Double-sided tape.

You will need eight ribbons, four blue and the same number of purple. Each should be 15 cm long and 0.6 cm wide. First, the purple strip is folded in half, and the top of the folded end is smeared with glue and attached to a soft round base, exactly in the center. Then the remaining purple ribbons are glued on. This is done in such a way that there is an equal distance between the ends of all strips. After this, 8 drops of glue are applied to the central parts of these “rays”. The end of one protruding strip is attached to the center of the adjacent one and so on throughout the circle. This part of the work must be done very slowly, otherwise the petals will not be the same. Next you need to work on the blue stripes. They are attached on top of the purple ones, and then their edges are drawn through the loops. Then the blue ends are twisted in the same way as the purple ones.

Packing tape for making flowers

To create this craft, you will need a needle, floss, tailor's pins, a round metal template with protruding knitting needles, and the packaging tape itself (you can choose simple transparent tape). First, a template is taken and a ribbon is gradually wound around it. The stitches should be placed on the opposite edge of the needle. When the tape is completely wound, the center is highlighted. To do this, you need to connect the petals in the middle using a needle and thread. The center is darned in a circle. The free edge of the tape is cut to fit the central part. The petal is removed from the needles - all that remains is to decorate the flower. The craft should be decorated with decorative elements. You can spray paint it. A monotonous color will look best, but it’s worth trying to use different molds and color the flower in an original way, for example “polka dots”. There are also a variety of colored packaging tapes on sale - regular and festive.

It’s worth trying to make a complex craft using ribbons of different widths and thicknesses and with different weaves.

Rep ribbon flower

Such products can be found on children's clothing: sundresses, dresses. Creating a craft from grosgrain ribbon will be easy even for a beginner. You will need thread, scissors, pencil, glue gun, candle, grosgrain ribbon. First, 5 strips of the same length are cut out (approximately 5-6 cm). The edges are processed over fire. Then the fragments are shaped into a bow by gluing the opposite edges in the middle. All bows are folded in half. After this, they are stitched with thread on the flat side and gathered into a circle of five petals. The bud they create is fastened and decorated with a button. The petals are given volume. There are even simpler methods. The tape can be applied several times, creating a thickening in the center. Then you need to fasten everything with threads and decorate the product with a button. Another interesting way is to create petals from several turns of different sizes.

Both small flowers and large ones with a diameter of more than half a meter are created from this material. The latter are created from foamiran (isolon) - polypropylene fiber. You will need large round sheets with a density of 30, paint, a glue gun, and a hair dryer. You can cut the blanks yourself from a large canvas. Thanks to the pliability of the material, this will not be difficult. First, two rounded petals with a long side of about 30 cm are cut out. The core will be made from them. All other fragments should be larger: 35, 40, 45 cm, etc. The lower parts of all elements are cut noticeably narrower. During the work process, these segments are pasted over with a gun and bent. If on the first petal the bottom is twisted and secured, then on the next petals it wraps around the already created structure. The desired shape is given by hand and after each change it is fixed with a hairdryer. When all the petals are ready, you will need to make a core from a spool of thread. Then the flower is painted.

It is necessary that the air from the hairdryer be as hot as possible, otherwise the flower may begin to quickly lose shape or may not turn out at all.

Application of ready-made colors

Such crafts decorate everyday and festive hairstyles. To do this, flowers are attached to elastic bands, headbands, hairpins and decorated with beads, brooches, and various small elements. Ribbon flowers with pins are used to decorate wardrobe items. They decorate lapels; put in pockets, attached to hats. Ribbon flowers will become bright gifts for various occasions - birthdays, New Years, religious holidays, angel's day. These crafts are used to decorate various homemade compositions, topiaries, and gift boxes. Hand-decorated rooms are a great place to decorate with bouquets and photo frames with ribbon flowers. You can also trim floor lamps and tulle. Recently, boutonnieres and duplicate bouquets made of satin material have become popular. They are bought not only for special occasions.

Different techniques for making crafts

Kanzashi

The Japanese technique of making decorations for hairpins, headbands and hair clips from ribbons is kanzashi. Modern craftswomen create not only hair decorations using this technology, but also many other crafts. They are assembled from individual petals, which are folded like origami. Kanzashi is based on two principles for creating petals: round and sharp. The rest is the imagination of the needlewomen (photo).

To work, you will additionally need glue and beads, rhinestones, and sequins. Satin ribbons are pre-cut into squares.

Making round petals:

1. Fold the square into an equilateral triangle.
2. Bring the corners from the fold to the bottom corner so that a rounded line is formed at the top.
3. Fold the side corners at the back. Align the edges.
4. Burn the cut and press to secure.

In the finished product:

Making sharp petals:

1. Fold the square in the same way as in the first option.
2. Connect the two corners, with the fold at the top.
3. Fold the petal in half again.
4. Burn and fix the corner.
5. Trim the bottom edge and melt the cut over the candle.

More often, this technique is used to make flowers and snowflakes for hairpins, hairpins, headbands and elastic bands.

Butterflies and kanzashi flowers will be a wonderful decoration for clothes in the form of brooches, and voluminous swans, peacocks and Christmas trees will become interior decor.

Melted petals

This technique is good for creating roses, peonies and poppies. The flowers look natural, but not as neat as kanzashi. Only synthetic tapes are suitable for work. You can only choose the right material by trying.

Additionally, prepare tweezers with long tips, cores or beads. To create flowers from melted petals you need:

• Draw a petal on paper. If it is a circle or a flower shape, then each piece is 0.5 cm smaller than the previous one, at least 10. If it is a drop or a heart, then make 3-4 sizes of at least 6 pieces.
• Cut blanks from tape.
• Melt the petals over a candle; it is better to hold them with tweezers and at a short distance from the fire.
• The petals in the shape of a circle and a flower are connected in the center, and the drop and the heart are collected at the bottom. Then the core is attached.

Crafts with melted petals are suitable for creating large flower arrangements. And also for decorating brooches or hats, but you should carefully select the clothing style for such accessories.

Embroidery with satin ribbons

Any embroidery is popular at all times, and if you add ribbons to it, the picture seems to come to life. The creative process is complex and requires special perseverance and accuracy from the master. To work, you will need base fabric and a special needle with a large eye.

Before you start working, it’s worth learning the basic stitches of the technique:

Straight stitch. It is made as a thread seam. Used to create petals.

French knot. Suitable for depicting buds. The needle is brought out to the front side and wrapped with tape, then a puncture is made next to the previous one and the needle is returned inside out.

Twisted stitch. On the face, the tape is pulled and twisted so that even turns are obtained. The needle is inserted at the required distance and brought out to the wrong side, where the tape is secured with threads.

Embroidery with satin ribbons

Stages of work:

• The location and size of the flower are marked on the fabric. 5 rays are drawn from the center at equal distances. Thick threads are used to lay seams along these rays. And then the tape is pulled through them in a checkerboard pattern.
• A piece of tape is gathered at the bottom, twisted into a spiral to form a bud, and sewn on with thread.
• A rose embroidered with Japanese stitches looks most natural. Work begins from the core with small stitches, then they are enlarged and laid in the shape of the petals.

Ribbons are used to embroider paintings and panels, and are also used to decorate clothes, bags, and pillows.

Important! It is better to use a thick, blunt needle. This way the hole will be large enough for the tape and it won’t break the threads of the materials.

Other options

There are many more different types of “tape creativity”.

For example, the bride's bouquet can be made from twisted roses. To do this, you will need a tape 4-5 cm, 1.2 m long. Fold a corner on one side and twist it into a tube. Wrap the core with tape until the end of the length, twisting it at small intervals, from the face inside out and back again. The second edge is hidden under the last petal, and the structure is secured by stitching with thread.

Bridal bouquet of twisted roses with beads

Using the artichoke technique they turn out great New Year's toys. To do this, you will need a foam base, satin ribbons of three colors, 5 cm wide. We cut them into squares and iron them in half. Attach one square to the base. Align the center of the rectangle with the center of the square, fold the corners and secure. Next, in the same spirit, pin the remaining parts. Decorate the top of the ball with a bow.

Advice! To fasten parts in this type of patchwork, it is customary to use pins with a flat head.

Artichoke technique: New Year's toys

The variety of colors and sizes of ribbons allows you to make each craft unique. And having gained experience, needlewomen begin to experiment, coming up with new ways of making petals. Therefore, every day more and more beautiful and interesting works appear in various techniques.

Content

Crafts made from ribbons turn out beautiful and original. Making them is quite troublesome and time-consuming, so such creativity is not suitable for small children. Older children, for example, primary schoolchildren, can do such crafts. If the child has an older brother or sister, he can directly engage in making crafts, and the younger child will be an “apprentice.” Select the material according to size and color, choose which ones you like best - the baby can do all this. By helping an older child, the baby will feel needed and useful, and working together will develop his organization.

If your baby is partial to ribbons, you can come up with simple products that he can make himself.

Herringbone

You can make an interesting and simple Christmas tree for the New Year holiday. For it you will need two colored ribbons - green and brown, for the crown and trunk, respectively.

Cut three pairs of pieces from the green ribbon. The first pair should be the longest, the second shorter, and the third very short. The brown ribbon will be the trunk. We fold a piece of green tape into a loop and fasten it to the trunk, and fasten the second paired piece opposite, crosswise. Having glued all three pairs, we get a Christmas tree. The top of the head can be decorated with a shiny bow.

DIY decoration

A decoration option made from satin ribbons that can be placed on a wall or used to decorate a gift box.

Necessary materials:

• The base is semicircular. You can take polystyrene foam or quick-drying clay.
• Satin ribbon
• Safety pins

Manufacturing:

The tape must be cut into pieces, rolled each into a ring and attached to the base. The craft is ready. It can be inserted into a muffin tin or glued to a gift box (only a foam base is suitable for a gift box).

There is another option:

The ribbon cut into pieces is strung on a thread rather than rolled into a ring. One edge needs to be stitched with a needle and thread, pulled into a bow and glued to the foam. The top will be lush and beautiful.

You can decorate a photo frame with a craft made from ribbons. To do this you will need a pink ribbon, from which we will make a butterfly. Cut a piece that is twice the length of the intended butterfly. Fold in half and stitch. Then you need to roll two eights, or maybe one double. Sew and attach to the base. Butterfly antennae can be made from threads.

Thick rapeseed ribbons also make interesting crafts. They can serve as a decoration for a hairpin or just a beautiful craft.

Animal crafts

To make a cute turtle, you need to prepare two ribbons: pink and green. You can also use satin if you first seal it with material (take two lengths and sew them on a machine, with a fabric or elastic band of the required width in the middle). Next, we make four rings of the same size and insert them one into the other, forming a ball. On each side we sew two loops of green ribbon - these will be the paws. At the front of the ball, a piece of green tape with a loop at the end will serve as the turtle's head. The eyes can be made from beads (ask your child to choose the right ones) or sew on toy ones.

The octopus is made in much the same way.

A ball is formed from four rings - the head, decorated with eyes. Now, to make tentacles, you need to take eight pieces of tape, twist them into a spiral and secure with thread. The curious octopus is ready. You can decorate it with a bow or a toy hat.

A variety of hand-made faces can be attached to a purse, notebook, photo frame or hairpin. By attaching a pin to such a face, you can get a keychain or brooch.

The whole principle of work is to create a base - a strip folded in half and stitched. Two loops are dog ears, a triangular muzzle, and a pompom for the eyes and nose. And, of course, an elegant bow for decorating the craft. You can give such a craft for the birth of a child, for example.

Take a silk ribbon of one or more colors and cut off a piece suitable for forming a flower. The edge of the tape needs to be sewn with thread and pulled slightly.

For stems, you can take a small diameter plastic tube or a knitting needle. We decorate the stem with green ribbon and glue. Then we apply its edge to the ribbon and twist the rose, securing it with thread. We repeat several times, the bouquet for mom is ready for the holiday.

Flower as a gift to grandma

Grandmothers always occupy a special place in the life of a little person. Children feel great love and affection and want to give back in any way they can. You can invite your child to make a beautiful craft from ribbons. It doesn’t have to be some kind of holiday, because the grandmother always loves the child.

So, we take multi-colored ribbons and cut them into small pieces, from which the petals of the future flower will be formed. Your child can help cut the ribbon, or in extreme cases, find and hand over scissors. It is very important to ask your child for help; he will feel important.

Each piece is folded in half and stitched along one edge, resulting in a triangle on one side.

Of course, you can start with the simplest thing. To easily make unusual and complex things, you need to understand the basic techniques for creating products from satin ribbons. And the best way to see this is step by step in the master class.

Step by step description

1. Although tulips, dandelions, hyacinths, primroses, and many other flowers are rolled from ribbons, the most popular flower among craftswomen is the rose. Roses are most often made using the kanzashi technique. For the flower, choose a ribbon of the desired color five centimeters wide. Cut the edge of the tape evenly and melt it with a lighter so that it does not fray. After this, place the ribbon so that its wrong side is facing up.
2. Fold the upper left corner down (in the pictures of the master class there are arrows and the fold lines are indicated by dotted lines), and fold the lower left corner to the right twice.
3. Take a needle and thread of the same color as your ribbon. Secure the resulting fold (the thread should be long, because you will then have to stitch the entire tape).
4. Connect the two layers of ribbon by stitching from the fixed place to the right (there should be about one or two millimeters from the edge) and stop at the edge of the top ribbon.
5. Fold the long edge of the ribbon to the left (in the direction of the arrow), and then the entire ribbon up to the right at an angle.
6. Make sure that the right sides match and you have three layers. Sew them together, working upwards from the bottom corner. Then stop, but do not cut the thread, but tuck the ribbon down, as shown by the dotted line in the photo master class.
7. Then turn it at an angle to the left and stitch again, only to the left along the top edge. Having connected the three layers, turn the ribbon in the direction of the arrow to the right, then at an angle downwards, and continue stitching.
8. When there are already enough pleats (this will take approximately fifty centimeters of tape), sew stitches along the edge of the last of them, capturing two layers. Trim off the excess material and melt it with fire, but leave the thread.
9. Tighten the thread and you will get a whole row of petals. Start forming a bud. The first petal must be made from the very beginning of the ribbon, pulling the thread where you secured the two folds. Twist it around these folds and you will have the center of the flower.
10. Take another needle and thread and pull the bottom edges of the petals together. Then form a second petal, twist it onto the bud and hem it at the bottom in the same way.
11. Continue on the same principle, adjusting the petals using thread tension. If you get a larger bunch on the bud, then your rose will be larger, looking like a beautiful blossoming flower. Or you can do a little tension, and then a delicate bud will come out.
12. Then twist the thread to the end and hem each petal from below. Carefully secure and trim the thread. Spread your flower.

Depending on how you want to use the rose, its bottom can be sealed with a piece of felt or ribbon, sewn to leaves, attached to a safety pin (for a brooch), a hairpin or hoop, etc. Such a delicate and beautiful product will be an excellent decoration or a gift for spring holidays, like March 8th.

Using the same technique, it is easy to make many roses for the bride's wedding bouquet. All that remains is to make the base on which the flowers will be attached.

If you want to decorate Easter eggs, you can either simply cover the blank with fabric and then decorate it with flowers or ribbon bows, or use the “artichoke” technique - fold ribbons of different colors in the manner of fish scales and glue them to the surface of the egg.

You can also paste over balls in a similar way, and then you will get original Christmas tree decorations or just interior decorations.

To make an unusual basket, take a piece of oval soap and attach safety pins on it in a circle at the top and bottom (their number should be the same, and they should be placed on the soap at a distance of approximately six to eight millimeters from each other - just stick them into the bar of soap ).

Then take a ribbon (not very wide - about one to two centimeters), secure one edge with a pin and braid the walls of the basket as follows: hook the ribbon to the top pin, then lower it down, hook it to the bottom one and lift it up, continuing further until all walls will not be braided.

You will have a long end left at the bottom - you will need it to braid the bottom edge and form the side. Then you will need to move it up to decorate the top edge. Use the remaining ends of the ribbon to create a bow. Use wire to make a basket and a handle and braid it with a ribbon of the same color or make an assembly out of it.

Attach the ends of the handle to the soap and decorate the basket. You can put primroses in it and give it to a friend or mother on March 8, or decorate it in any other way.
