What to do with your child: children's crafts made from clothespins. Crafts from clothespins The most interesting ideas with clothespins

Rare daughters-in-law can boast that they have an even and friendly relationship with their mother-in-law. Usually the exact opposite happens

All you need to create it is a couple of clothespins, twine and a tea strainer.

Multifunctional hanger

In order to make it, you need not quite ordinary clothespins - elongated ones, with a hook at the end. But you can not only hang clothes, but also leave messages for your household.

Halloween decorations

All Saints' Day is approaching - it's time to think about decorating your home. Clothespins painted in traditional Halloween colors - black and orange - are perfect for this. Draw a devil, a pumpkin and other characters on them (or make them out of paper), and the toys are ready.

"Live" toys

To please yourself and your children, you can make toys from clothespins. Draw a shark on paper, for example. Glue one half of it to the bottom of the clamp, and the other to the top. As a result, by squeezing the clothespin, the shark will “open” its mouth.

Photo collage

To create such an original photo collage you will need a beautiful frame, rope, clothespins and the actual photographs. Stretch a string inside the frame and attach your favorite photos to it.

Wheel frame

You can also make an unusual photo collage using clothespins and an old bicycle wheel. The knitting needles will serve as a “support” on which you can pin photographs.

New Year card

Clothespins painted white, with cute faces and cheerful scarves are a great addition to a New Year's card. Attach them to paper, and good snowmen will transform your congratulations.

Garland for congratulations

This is a great solution for congratulating colleagues in the office. Make such a “board of honor” with garlands of clothespins, and any employee can leave their congratulation note there.

Wedding congratulations

Typographic postcards are banal. Surprise the newlyweds with a clothespin card. To do this, paint one part of it white (the bride's dress) and the other part black (the groom's tuxedo). Don't forget about eyes, lips and veil. “Open” clothespin – lovers look into each other’s eyes; “closed” - merged in passionate kisses. Such an original congratulation will replace a thousand words.

Christmas decorations

Two clothespins glued together and another one attached on top and Santa's reindeer is ready. All that remains is to paint the toy in a suitable color, draw eyes and attach a nose. In this design, Rudolf & Co look very cute on the Christmas tree.

Sweet butterflies

These “butterflies” with delicious filling are what you need for a children's party. Place treats in plastic bags and tie them with a butterfly-painted clothespin to create wings. Children will not only find it delicious, but thanks to the original packaging, it will also be interesting.

Candlestick or flowerpot

Using a tin can and wooden clothespins you can make two beautiful and useful things at once. If you attach clothespins to the edge of the jar and place a small candle in a glass cup inside, you will get a candlestick; and if you pour soil inside and plant flowers, you will get an original flowerpot.

Pac-Man

Making Pac-Man couldn’t be easier: cut a yellow circle in the middle, draw an eye on one half and glue it to the top of the clothespin, and the other, respectively, to the bottom. And to make it look completely realistic, you can also attach a figurine of a ghost.

Postcard holder

If you want your message to be noticed immediately, then do not put it down, but put it on the table. An ordinary clothespin will help you with this. True, it is better to use a clamp with wide “legs” - this way the holder will be more stable.

Clothespins-Batman

These are clothespins for real superheroes. Making them yourself won't be so easy (you'll have to get wings from somewhere), but you'll have the coolest superhero cape gadgets in the world.

Photo wall

This is another way to organize and store photos. A metal grid and clothespins will help free your favorite photos from the dusty captivity of a photo album. Plus, you can change the exposure as often as you like.

pencil

10-15 wooden clothespins can be used to make a very cute pencil cup. It’s enough just to glue them together “in a circle.” And to make it even more beautiful, gild it and wrap it with a ribbon. But don’t forget about the bottom - it can be made of cardboard.

Clothespin pencil

Designer Bartosz Mucha tried to combine the incompatible. He “crossed” a pencil and other objects with a clothespin. The result turned out to be quite interesting - things went from ordinary to multifunctional. True, the practical feasibility of such transformations is questionable.

Wreath

From a metal hoop and a lot of multi-colored (or rather, painted in different colors) clothespins you can make a wreath like this for interior decoration. An undeniable advantage is that if you get tired of this decor, you can easily change it by coloring the clothespins differently.

Chandelier

To make such a designer chandelier you will need metal rings and mesh, a light bulb socket, wires, metal scissors and many, many clothespins. See detailed manufacturing instructions here. The result is a very atmospheric herringbone chandelier, comfortably scattering light throughout the room.

Labels

In order not to get confused in your own linen closet, you can make these funny labels. To do this, you need to stick beautiful pieces of paper on a clothespin and make the appropriate inscriptions: “towels”, “sheets”, “diapers”, etc.

Cat in a hat

This funny toy will appeal not only to children, but also to adults. After all, it's a cat! However, you can “dress up” any animal dear to your heart with a hat and bow tie. To do this, you need to find suitable pasta, glue it to a clothespin and decorate it.

Flower clip

You won’t surprise anyone with flowers in ordinary plastic packaging, but you can with a bouquet with a clothespin holder. The main thing is to find a larger clothespin (so that the stems fit into the “eye”) and decorate it a little.

Fridge magnets

By gluing magnetic paper (available in office supply stores) to one side of the clothespin and decorating it beautifully, you will get a bright and useful refrigerator magnet. Useful because you can attach photos, notes, etc. to it.

Little mice

Another cute little thing for children and their parents is mice made from clothespins. The ears, antennae and tail are made of felt, the eyes are purchased (although you can draw them). Making such a mouse will not take more than half an hour.

Wreath – photo holder

This is another wreath option for interior decoration. To make it you will need an old wire hanger, paint, ribbon and, of course, clothespins. They need to be painted in any suitable color, and then strung on a hoop made from a hanger. At the same time, the clothespins will retain their functionality - you can attach photographs of loved ones to them.

Kitchen hanger

It is difficult to find non-standard uses for household items such as clothespins. But it’s possible! For example, don’t use them to pin clothes together, but use them and a measuring tape to make a hanger for all sorts of kitchen items. Looks very bright.

Desk lamp

German designer David Olschewski likes to use household items for other purposes (for example, a shovel and fork as a clothes hanger). Sometimes it turns out really great. At least the table lamp made from clothespins looks impressive.

Mirror

To make such a frame for a wall mirror, you need: the mirror itself, clothespins, a glue gun, a “clip” fastening, a satin ribbon and... a tin can. The latter will be needed in order to glue the clothespins evenly in a circle.

Wedding accessories

These beautiful delicate clothespins, decorated with artificial flowers, can be used to secure chair covers, tablecloths, canopies and other decorative elements used at weddings.

Photo surprise

Take this idea to heart if you want to surprise a loved one. A garland of photographs attached to a rope with clothespins is a bright and romantic way to remember your best moments together.

Whale and shark

Fans of marine themes will surely love the clothespin whale and clothespin shark. Such toys can be made by decorating the clips accordingly and attaching fins. The red felt tongue will “revive” even more sea giants.

Airplane

All you need to become an “aircraft builder” are popsicle sticks and a clothespin. Paint them in contrasting colors, glue them together, and the biplane is ready.

Yarn storage holders

This is a life hack for needlewomen. Handmade craftswomen often have a little yarn left over from balls of yarn. It’s a shame to throw it away, but it’s a hassle to store it. But clothespins will help solve this problem.

Hot stand

If you disassemble the clothespin, then from its parts you can make a very useful thing in the household - a stand for hot plates and pots. To do this, the parts of the clothespins need to be glued together at the ends to form a circle.

WORK AND MASTER CLASS BY OLGA AKIMOVA Text by the author

An unusually shaped bottle caught my eye and I spent a long time racking my brain on how I could refine it.
I once went into a store and my eyes fell on ordinary wooden clothespins. “That’s what I need,” I thought.

For work I needed:

Bottle, wooden clothespins, twine, decor. wooden beads and my favorite flowers from boom. twine, as well as PVA glue, glue gun.

Let's get started:

1) First, we will disassemble the clothespins (we will only need wooden parts)

2) Using a glue gun, glue the wooden parts to the bottle in a circle in two rows.

3) Now we wrap the lower and upper parts of the bottle (including the lid) with twine and glue them with PVA glue.

4) Decorate with wooden beads, first stringing them on twine.

5) And the last final stage - Glue the ready-made flowers from the boom. twine. This time we leave them in natural color, this matches the whole style of our work.
P.S. making flowers from boom. twine, see the master class "Panels".

Today we will tell you how you can make many different home accessories from ordinary wooden clothespins with your own hands. Some of these crafts will be functional and really useful, while others will be simply beautiful.

Wooden clothespins make really interesting things. Some of them will be appreciated by your children, others will be useful as gifts, and others will delight the eye every day. The main thing we need to master is the decor of clothespins, and our imagination will do the rest for us.

As a rule, wooden clothespins are always purchased in whole sets. There are 30 or even 50 of them in one package. But you have to take it all, although you will need 5-10 - no more. So it turns out that a small part of the clothespins goes into use, and most of them remain in the closet.

What do we need (not all at once, we can take one thing from the list)?

  • paints
  • colored tape with patterns
  • glitter and glue
  • markers
  • stencils with small patterns
  • any decorative elements
  • wood varnish

Decorating clothespins

You can take glue and dry glitter. In this case, you will get very elegant accessories. In this case, you can look for colored sparkles: blue, red, black, etc. In addition, there are special paints that consist entirely of glitter. They are very good for tree decoration.

If there is no glitter, you can just paint the clothespins. It is better to take special paints for wood. If you don’t have these, paint with regular paint, but in this case, coat the finished product with varnish so that it doesn’t stain your hands. We paint with a brush, dry on parchment or hang.

Clothespins can be painted using markers or pencils. Various inscriptions and the simplest patterns look beautiful.

If you don’t want to tinker with the decor for too long, just stick narrow tape with patterns on the clothespins. Such adhesive tapes can be found in any craft department - there are ones for every taste.

There you can also find various stencils in small patterns. If you first paint a clothespin one color, let it dry, and then paint it another color using a stencil, it will turn out very cool.

What to make from clothespins?

The simplest craft made from clothespins is a wreath. There are no tricks here: just attach the clothespins to the wire. Additionally, you can attach artificial flowers, ribbons, shells, ready-made cuttings, etc. to it. Here are some options.

Clothespins make excellent lamps and flower pots, as well as containers for storing small items (we already told you how to make a basket from clothespins).

Another idea is to make a family reminder calendar. Just attach clothespins to horizontal parallel boards, make a kind of panel and paint it in bright colors.

If you take the clothespins apart and glue them together, you can use them to make furniture for a dollhouse. If you have a little girl in your house, she will be delighted. For boys you can make a wooden airplane. There are no instructions here: just look at the drawing and repeat, everything is clearly visible. When making this, also use popsicle sticks.

In addition, you can decorate a small mirror with clothespins. It often happens that a small round mirror falls out of a woman’s powder compact. If you hate to throw it away, just glue it onto a round piece of cardboard and attach colorful clothespins to the sides. This will make a very cute accessory.

Well, another simple idea is stickers. For any holiday, you can select appropriate stickers and pictures, stick them on clothespins, and then decorate your house with them. Here's an idea for one that many of you are probably already preparing for.

This is not all that can be made from ordinary wooden clothespins. Use your imagination and you will come up with truly wonderful things and beautiful accessories!

A photo frame with clothespins will be an original gift for family or friends. The manufacturing algorithm is extremely simple:

  • Take the tucks and divide them into their component elements.
  • On cardboard or plywood, cut out the base of the size you need for the photo. Set aside another 6 cm on each side.

  • Cut out the base. Apply clothespins along the protruding edge, leaving the corners untouched.
  • Add the corners to your liking; the herringbone pattern looks original.

The decor made from wooden clothespins for the photo frame is ready.

Master class for children “Matchshooter”

Shooting a match from a clothespin will take you back to your childhood for a moment; in addition, this toy will be a great distraction for children in the age of gadgets and the Internet.

The original DIY flowerpot is ready.

Chandelier made of clothespins

Do you have a lot of clothespins lying around? Don't rush to throw them away. You can make a lamp in an oriental style. Take:

  • linen tucks;
  • wood glue;
  • square board;
  • cartridge and wire.

Let's move on to the assembly:

  1. First, you should make the bottom of the future lamp. To do this, you will need a square blank slightly wider than the rivets.
  2. Make a small hole in it for a light bulb socket.
  3. Proceed with the frame. Glue the elements either with “noses” or “tails” to each other. If the first row is with noses, then the second is with tails. It will turn out to be quite a beautiful pattern.
  4. When the frame is finished, disassemble the cartridge and attach a power cord to its contacts. Pass the cord through the prepared hole and secure with glue. All that remains is to screw in the lamp.

  • 7 plastic clings;
  • pen or pencil.

The action plan is as follows:

  1. Attach clothespins to a pencil or pen, one to the other at short distances.
  2. Place the handle on the table, turn 1 and 5 back, 2 and 6 forward, and the rest should “look” up. It is into their grooves that the phone or tablet is then inserted.
